Phil Jung

I’m really happy Mass Art spits out so many great photographers. Like Phil Jung.

His series Windscreen is going to show at the Bakalar Gallery, so all ya’ll Boston people should check it out and tell me how it is. Things just aren’t the same here, art-wise. Which is a good thing and a bad thing. Anyway. I really like what he’s doing-photographing the personal touches people add to their cars, getting details (yes!) in beautiful color.  I wish I could see one of these in real life.

These remind me a little of my astrologer, whose 80’s station wagon Hobart was always filled up with stuff that I don’t think he ever used but his theory was that if there was crap in there no one would break in. He starts his car with a screwdriver.
