Franklin Art Works has a really cool program this summer for 15-18 year olds. For 8 weekends, you could take free photography workshops like Street Photography with Wing Young Huie, Bookmaking with Monica Haller, or Stop-Action Photography with Xavier Tavera.
Classes will take place on Saturday afternoons from 1 to 4pm, and students may sign up for one or more classes, based on availability.
– Free use of a digital camera
– Free transportation to off-site classes
– One photograph by each student printed and framed for free
– Inclusion in final public exhibition of student works in Franklin Art Works’ Project Space
You should sign up now! The best part is, it’s FREE!
Maybe you’ll be the next Walker Evans, in digital format. Or maybe you’ll discover the wonders of film, darkrooms, and chemicals.
