I love calling Valentine’s Day VD. Artist Mitch O’Connell has quite a collection:

Likes/Dislikes stamps

How did they know we needed Likes and Dislikes stamps? Maybe they read my Likes/Dislikes zine, or were inspired by the Library of Congress Subject Heading named after my zine (Likes and dislikes).

Sanford Berman’s letter on the OWS library

Socks with capes!

People! The Superhero Stuff page has sold out on knee-highs with capes. If there were ever socks made for my feet, these are the ones. Every sock needs a cape!

Oh no, Waltham, Mass.

What are you up to now? Waltham Mass. will become The International Steampunk City for a weekend in May. Why? To raise money for the Charles River Museum of Industry, who’s sporting a new exhibit sponsored by Steampuffin: Steampunk, Form & Function, and an Exhibition of Innovation, Invention and Gadgetry. The money is to help them recover from flood damage.

I hope these steampunk people pack a lot of cash in their trunks or whatever they travel with. Also, I’m slightly embarrassed to say that I sort of like the aesthetic of steampunk stuff–especially the interior decorations. I like old stuff.

Secret Lost Horizon Night Market

I’m sooo jealous. In San Francisco and New York, 25-30 box trucks come in the night and deliver wild amounts of fun. Each truck hosts its own event. This is sounding like the Art Shantys, only in trucks, not in fishing shacks on ice. It’s called the Lost Horizon Night Market, and it’s totally awesome. I mean, look at these people in the Sleazy Motel Truck:

There was a Noodle truck serving udon and miso, a Junior High Slumber Party truck where you could play Ouija and do your nails, a funeral truck, a karaoke truck, a hookah truck, all organized by Mark Krawczuk and Kevin Balktick.

Oh yeah, and it was all free.

William S. Burroughs Thanksgiving Prayer

Watching this is one of my only Thanksgiving traditions. I love this Aquarius.
